ARCHBOLD COMMUNITY THEATRE

Willy Wonka will be presented July 9th,10th & 11th @ 7:30 PM and July 12th @ 2:30 at Archbold High School in Archbold, OH. Rehearsals will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights beginning May 11th at Giffey Hall in Ridgeville Corners and moving to Archbold High School in June. Audition Requirements: You will need to sing a song chosen by the directing team based on the role you want to audition for. Please email archboldcommunitytheatre@gmail.com with the character you wish to audition for and we can email you the song options. You must bring your own accompanist or accompaniment cd. You will recite a 45-60 second memorized monologue of your choosing. Please make sure to bring a printed recent photo to your audition. If you cannot make it to any of the audition dates, you can send a video to archboldcommunitytheatre@gmail.com by Monday, May 4th.

Black Swamp Players is holding auditions for 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙋𝙇𝙊𝙏 by Will Eno, a sharp, funny, slightly surreal comedy for five actors aged 30s to 60s+.

Auditions will consist of readings from the script. Please prepare sides for the character(s) you are interested in playing. Please plan to stay and enjoy the full audition time slot.

Come to 1 of the dates whenever you can- no sign up times!
We’re casting children that are ages 12-18 who love to sing, dance and create characters.
Prepare 32 bars of an up-tempo Broadway song. Songs from the show are ok (no ballads).
Please bring sheet music if you would like an accompaniment or please bring a track that we can play on our speaker.

A short dance audition will follow — wear clothes you can move in!

Summary:
One afternoon, Anthony arrives unexpectedly at classmate Caroline’s door bearing a beat-up copy of Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass, an urgent assignment from their English teacher. Homebound due to illness, Caroline hasn’t been to school in months, but she is as quick and sardonic as Anthony is athletic, sensitive, and popular. As these two let down their guards and share their secrets, this seemingly mundane poetry project unlocks a much deeper mystery that has brought them together. "I and You" is an ode to youth, life, love, and the strange beauty of human connectedness.
